ABOUT
Morgan Alston, a seasoned journalist and Production Assistant stationed at ESPN’s headquarters in Bristol, Connecticut, possesses an unyielding passion for storytelling. She is also an ESPN+ Sideline Reporter, coverings several division one college football games while sharing the stories of the athletes, the student body, and the community. Her career trajectory spans a diverse array of topics, including sports, politics, social justice, and cultural events.
Morgan helped produce this 2024 NFL Draft held in Detroit, Michigan. While working with ESPN and ABC, she helped tell the stories of these incredible young athletes.
Before her tenure at ESPN, Morgan pursued a division one track and field scholarship at Monmouth University. However, realizing the slim odds of turning professional in athletics during her senior year, she courageously transitioned her focus to television. This decision marked a significant turning point, leading her to embark on a dynamic journey in the media industry.
Immediately after pivoting from athletics, Morgan seized numerous opportunities, undertaking eight internships and engaging in various freelance projects. Her internships ranged from NFL Films to FOX, showcasing her versatility and dedication. Additionally, she ventured into freelance producing with News 12 New Jersey, launched her own podcast titled "She Gets What She Wants," and served as a sideline reporter for the esteemed amateur basketball tournament, The Rumph Classic in Philadelphia.
Morgan's commitment to her craft has not gone unnoticed, earning her accolades including Alumni of the Year at Monmouth University. Despite only a year and a half passing since her college graduation, she has already made significant strides in her career. Her accomplishments include on-air appearances, published writings, and interviews with notable figures like Kyrie Irving, Kamala Harris, and Michael B. Jordan, garnering attention both locally and nationally.
With an unwavering dedication to truth and integrity in journalism, Morgan continues to captivate and inform audiences worldwide through her compelling storytelling and insightful reporting, leaving an indelible mark on the media landscape.
